Today's Hunter in Delaware
How It Works
Course Information

This course is approved by the Delaware Division of Fish and Wildlife to satisfy the classroom portion of the education requirements for hunter education certification.

The First Step

Click on the Begin! button on the navigation bar. To set up your free account, simply provide a valid email address, a password, your name and your birth date. We do not share your information with third parties.

Flexibility and Freedom—Your Online "Attendance"

In order to receive a certificate of completion, you must complete the entire course, including unit quizzes. However, you may come and go whenever you please and take as long as you like to complete your course.

All Pages Are Timed

Because you are required to visit each page, all the pages have a timer. At the bottom of every page are two black rectangular buttons which allow you to navigate through the course. You can move ahead to the next page only if you have spent the required amount of time on the present page. If you log out, we keep track of your progress so that you can log in again to the course and pick up where you left off by visiting the My Course page.

My Course Page

You can review your progress in the course at any time by clicking on My Course on the navigation bar. On the My Course page you will see an outline of the course. The checkmarks you see next to course pages indicate you have completed that page. You can go back in the course to review any page you have read before. However, you cannot jump ahead to pages which have not been visited.

Online Sessions Can Expire

If once you have logged in, and there is no activity or interaction with the course for more than fifteen minutes, you will be automatically logged out. A notice stating, “Your session has expired due to inactivity” will appear at the top of the web page. Simply log back in to access the course again.

Logging In and Out

Once you have registered for the course, you will have a user name and password. Always keep this information handy. If you exit the course or log out, you log in again with your user name and password to continue.

Changing Your User Name and Password

If you need to change your login or personal information, click on the My Info button on the navigation bar at the top of any web page in the course. Re-submit your revised information using the form provided.

Unit Quizzes

There is a quiz at the end of each unit. You must score at least 80% on each quiz to pass. You must pass each unit quiz in order to progress to the next unit.

Your Online Course Certificate

Once you have successfully completed the course by passing all unit quizzes, you will be given a link to your Field Day Entrance Voucher. Passing this online course is Step 1 of the hunter education certification process. After passing this course, you can view and print the voucher from your computer, or have a PDF of the voucher sent to your email address. Your permanent hunter education card will be issued to you by Delaware Division of Fish and Wildlife after you have successfully completed a field day, which is Step 2 of the hunter education certification process.

After This Course: Step 2 of the Hunter Certification Process
